Master Airbrush Air Compressors for Airbrushing and Light Air Tools

This page covers the compressor on its own, the unit that sits beside the bench and feeds air to the airbrush. Ten models make up the line, from the black C16-B that runs off a 110V AC adapter to the TC-626 workshop model that also drives nail guns and sanders. Cake decorators, nail artists and model painters sit at the small end; studios with spray guns and several stations sit at the top.

Count what will draw air at the same moment before comparing models. A single airbrush needs a fraction of what a sander or a station of three does, and the gap shows in liters per minute: 18 on the TC-77 against 85 on the TC-626. Noise climbs with output too, so check where the compressor will actually run.

What to weigh before buying an air compressor

Master Airbrush TC-600 3/5 HP Air Compressor

How loud the room can be

Output and noise rise together. The TC-77, TC-320 and the Cool Runner tank models work at 47 dB, which suits work areas where low noise matters. The TC-600 reaches 69 dB in exchange for 1.7 CFM, and the TC-626 70 dB for 3 CFM. A shared living space points to the 47 dB group, while a garage or workshop can take the louder pair.

Master Airbrush TC-320 Cool Runner II Compressor

The pressure the job calls for

The TC-320 covers a pressure range of 0 to 57 PSI through its diaphragm regulator with gauge, a span aimed at airbrush work. Spray guns and nail guns ask for more: the TC-600 has a double-gear switch up to 116 psi, and the TC-626 cycles between 87 and 116 psi with a 10-foot hose built for 300 psi. Check the working pressure of any air tool against these figures first.

Master Airbrush C16-B Mini Air Compressor

Moving it and plugging it in

The C16-B is a mini 12V DC compressor with a 110V AC plug-in adapter, so it runs from a household outlet and packs small with its 6-foot braided air hose. The TC-77 has a built-in handle and airbrush holder for hobbyists who move their setup between rooms, and the TC-320 and TC-420 carry handles as well.

Which Master Airbrush TC model fits the work you do

Cakes, nails or temporary tattoos

The TC-77 delivers 18 liters per minute at 47 dB, with a regulator with gauge and a mini in-line moisture filter on board. Pick it if the airbrush is for cake decorating, nail art, model painting or temporary tattoo work.

Long sessions on a lighter motor

The TC-40 is a 1/6 HP single-piston compressor with a built-in cooling fan and automatic shutoff when not in use. Pick it for long sessions on a setup that holds two airbrushes, as long as the airbrush takes 1/8 inch hose ends.

Dual fans, no tank, easy to carry

The TC-420 gives 0.85 CFM from an oil-less single-piston motor and comes with a 6-foot braided hose and holders for 2 airbrushes. Pick it for extended sessions that move between workspaces by the carry handle.

Air tools alongside the airbrush

Air compressor questions before you order

Which compressors come with an air hose?
The C16-B, TC-40, TC-420, TC-77 and TC-96T each ship with a 6-foot braided air hose. The TC-600 comes with a 10-foot braided hose, and the TC-626 with a 10-foot hose built for 300 psi. The TC-326T includes a hose along with its airbrush holder.
How many airbrushes can rest on the compressor?
The TC-320, TC-326T and TC-420 each carry a holder for 2 airbrushes, and the TC-600 a holder for 3. The TC-77 has a built-in airbrush holder next to its handle. These holders keep the airbrush within reach between passes.
How do the TC-320 and TC-420 differ from their tank versions?
Motor and airflow stay the same; the tank models add a 3 liter air storage tank. The TC-326T pairs that tank with the TC-320 layout and switches off at 57 psi, while the TC-426 does the same for the TC-420 at 65 psi and comes in turquoise. A tank version makes sense when constant pressure without pulsation is the priority; the tankless versions stay smaller.
What does the TC-96T add over the single-piston models?
It uses a 1/4 HP twin-piston compressor and a 1.5 gallon air storage tank, for 40 liters per minute, or 1.4 CFM. A regulator with gauge, a water trap filter, built-in cooling fans and a 6-foot braided air hose come with it. It suits airbrush studios and workshops, as well as low-CFM air tools and spray guns.
